What percentage of licensed staff are retained?
This metric reports the percentage of teachers,
administrators and other licensed professionals who remain employed in the same school building.
Significant staff turnover can impact work place climate and culture.
The figures below provide a breakdown of the individual positions within the school from one
year to the next. Only those who were on staff the first year of the count are counted in
the second. This figure does not take into account whether more staff were added in the
second year.
Career Teachers:
are teaching staff who have moved from a beginning-teacher license to that of a full teacher.
New Teachers: are teaching staff on a beginning-teacher license
(typically less than two years experience).
